What are the early symptoms of a heart attack?

  1. Chest pain or discomfort: This may feel like a pressing, pinching or radiating sensation and may take longer than a few minutes. The pain can disappear and then come back again.

  5. Other symptoms: Less obvious symptoms include cold sweat, nausea, heartburn, dizziness and palpitations.

It is important to note that symptoms vary between men and women. Women may also experience shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, back or jaw pain, and unusual tiredness.
