Size is especially important when buying scissors for children.

Left and right scissors?
All too often scissors are sold that are said to be left-handed, but where only the eyes are shaped to a left hand. It is necessary that the blades cross in opposite directions, otherwise the natural pinching motion will cause the blades to be pushed away from each other instead of against each other.
At Peta, all left scissors have a green handle, right scissors have a blue handle. (not applicable here because they are universal scissors)
