Which types of support stockings can I choose from?
Class 1 (Low pressure, 15-20 mmHg)
Class 1 support stockings are light pressure support stocking and can best be worn with the following symptoms.
- Feeling tired and heavy legs
- Uncomplicated varicose veins without pronounced oedema
- Mild form of varicose veins during pregnancy
- Light swollen legs, ankles and/or feet
Class 2 (Average pressure, 20-30 mmHg)
When you experience the following symptoms, it is best to wear class 2 support stockings.
- Feeling tired and heavy legs
- More pronounced varicose veins and/or moderate oedema
- Spratate during pregnancy
- After sclerosis and vascular surgery for varicose veins
Class 3 (High pressure, 30-40 mmHg)
If you suffer from these symptoms, a class 3 support tube is recommended.
- Severe varicose veins and/or severe oedema
- Protect from deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
- Insufficiency (weakness) of the valves in the deep veins
- After healing severe wounds (open leg)
Class 4 (Very high pressure, > 40 mmHg)
It is also possible that Class 3 does not meet, then it is recommended to wear support stockings with class 4.

As you can read above, there is a clear difference between support stockings. Which support stocking is best suited to you depends on different factors. Support stockings for varicose veins
Spatters are formed if the valves in the veins do not close properly. This does not allow blood to flow through properly. It is therefore recommended that these stockings be pumped back from the legs to the heart, against gravity. Support stockings for varicose veins stimulate blood circulation. It can be recommended that they be worn for a longer period of time.
Always wear the right size support stockings

Medical support stockings
If you have an open leg or any other medical indication, it is often recommended to wear support stockings. The blood should be pushed back up from the legs. In this case, wearing support stocking can help the healing process by taking over the job of the bandage and stimulating blood circulation.
